Antimony exporters increase offers in China

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 6 Aug 08 – Antimony exporters increase their offers as the supply of antimony ingot is very tight currently in China and their domestic suppliers increased offers too.
A large antimony trioxide supplier in China increased their offers for antimony trioxide 99.5%min from USD5,500-5,550/t CIF Rotterdam in July to USD5,600-5,650/t CIF Rotterdam. They have concluded one or two deals of around 20 tons at prices slightly above USD5,600/t CIF Rotterdam.
The source confirmed that the supply of antimony ingot is tight. He revealed that they received slightly more inquiries from foreign buyers but the number of deals being concluded has not increased.
The source holds that the market may go up by small margin in the coming weeks as there are still not many buyers coming back from the market.
A large antimony ingot supplier in China increased their offer for antimony ingot 99.65%min from USD6,200-6,300/t CIF Rotterdam to USD6,400-6,500/t CIF Rotterdam due to the tight supply of antimony ingot in domestic China. However, there have not been any deals concluded so far.
The source revealed that the quotation of antimony ingot for Twinkling Star brand are at around USD6,500- 6,550/t CIF Rotterdam.
The source believes that the metal market may go up as that even smugglers could not get the materials for shipment due to its tight supply.
