BEIJING (Asian Metal) 1 Feb 08 – At the beginning of this week, one could still find 99.65%min grade two
antimony ingot for both standard and low bismuth at around USD5,600/t in warehouse Rotterdam.8 From
the middle of the week, price started to move up quickly, and now people claim that they could not find
cheap material anymore.

A European trader disclosed that antimony price has skyrocketed in the past two days. According to him,
no material is offered at blow USD5,700/t now. He sold one container of 99.65%min regular grade two
antimony ingot at USD5,750/t CIF Rotterdam in the middle of the week.

According to him, there are people offering warehouse material at USD6,000/t in warehouse Rotterdam,
but the offer is too high for now. "Maybe people will accept that price next week," said the source that
thinks antimony price will increase by another USD100/t by the beginning of next week.

Another trader confirmed that antimony price is above USD5,800/t in warehouse Rotterdam. He sold one
container of 99.65%min low bismuth grade two antimony ingot at USD5,950/t in warehouse Rotterdam in
the middle of the week, and then raised his offer to USD6,000/t. "Some people may think this is a too high
price, but I believe deals will be concluded at this level by the end of the week, or next Monday," said the
source.

According to him, the demand is picking up as the price is jumping higher. "There will be no new material
from China until the end of March, and the consumers need to survive on the material already in the
market, which is not much," concluded by the trader and believe price will move up further. He added, "I
send a lot of inquiries to the Chinese suppliers, but few of them replied."

An official from a consumer claimed that the offers he received was still at around USD5,700/t in
warehouse Rotterdam, and he holds that now is not a good time to purchase the raw material.B “Price may
drop again after the Chinese New Year,” he expected.
