European antimony price hikes

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 9 Jan 08 – After the Chinese government cancelled the pegged rate of Chinese currency, the exchange rate continued to increase against USD. Chinese antimony producers raised the export prices because of appreciation of RMB.

"There is one buyer that asked for 100t of the standard grade two antimony ingot, and I think he had not received the news that the price had increased." The source takes that many consumers expect the price to increase after the Chinese Spring Festival, so they expect to hear lower prices in the market now.
