| European antimony market back to calm
BEIJING (Asian Metal) 17 Nov 06 ¨C This week, European antimony market is back to be quiet
again as market participants claimed that reasonable amount of materials were concluded last
week.
A European trader revealed to Asian Metal that the last deal he concluded was a container of
standard grade two antimony ingot sold at USD5,630/t FCA to an end-user at the end of last
week. ¡°However, market is calm again this week.¡±
Another trader also concluded several deals last week for the standard grade two antimony ingot
at around USD5,450/t in warehouse Rotterdam. ¡°Inquiries last week were reasonable as I think
some consumers were out of stock and tried to replenish inventories for December, but I was not
able to sell anything this week.¡±
¡°There are plenty of materials in the market,¡± said a trader who thinks the mainstream price of
antimony is in the range of USD5,400-5,450/t.
According to the sources, material with bismuth content lower than 100ppm was sold at around
USD50/t more expensive than the standard material. |
